  • Ballots were tallied and background forms have been completed by the nominees and the nomination package has been submitted to the Secretary of Agriculture for appointment.

  • The Mushroom Council is a sponsor of JBF’s Taste America event series and this month’s tour stops will be Seattle on October 3 and Philly on October 30th. For tickets, reach out to [email protected].
  • The Blended Burger Project™ winner event will be at the James Beard House in NYC on October 23. If you will be in the area and would like to attend, reach out to [email protected] for more info.

  • The Mushroom Council announced its partnership with the Whole Kids Foundation to promote The Blend in an effort to improve children’s nutrition and help families make healthier choices. Teen chef and MasterChef Junior finalist, Evan Robinson created two new blended recipes: Blended Mushroom Nachos and “Evanated” Pizza Burgers. The recipes and videos are featured on Whole Kids Foundation’s website and will be promoted through social media. Read the full release here.
