Mushrooms in the News: 06-20-2022

Delish this week has created a new term for blended veggie burgers:  The “Shroomami Burger,” with shiitakes blended with cashews, beans and other flavorful ingredients. “We here at Delish love a regular burger,  but something about a flavor-packed veggie burger can be satisfying in a different way. And this mushroom-based burger is chock-full of one of our favorite flavors: umami.”

Tik Tok took notice of mushrooms this week, as well. Giada de Laurentiis’ Truffle Mushroom Pasta received a lot of attention this week as it migrated to Tik Tok. The Independent also shared two versions of piccata, while Delish shared a recipe for sauteed mushrooms and stuffed portabella mushrooms.
