Mushrooms in the News: 5-17-19

This week, BBP coverage remains strong in Florida Today, The Detroit News and WDET (Michigan). Following Tuesday’s BBP event in Detroit, The Detroit News published a story about the project and the quote: “Mushrooms are having a moment. (The Blend) is super versatile, you can use it in burgers, you can use it in tacos, chili, really anything where you use ground meat you can combine mushrooms for this delicious, versatile, really flavorful dish.”





More than 100 blended burgers have been entered into the #BlendedBurgerContest so far, with home cooks sharing not only their original recipes but also reasons why they’re loving The Blend:

  • @plowingthroughlife: We are big blended burger fans because we love the flavor and fact that we’re eating more vegetables
  • @kmk1180: Rich and filling with a little zip to get your attention. Nice change of pace from my everyday burger.
  • @tracie.howard47: What I like about this burger is that it’s really moist, juice and full of flavor…the mushrooms infuse right into the meat
