Mushrooms in the News: 07-12-2022

For Independence Day weekend grilling tips, The New York Times prominently featured blended burgers in its weekly “What to Cook” feature. “For me, this weekend, it’ll be hamburgers, particularly these mushroom-beef burgers, cremini-rich and juicy. There’s something really remarkable about how the mushrooms accentuate the beefiness of the patty, adding heft without fat.” 

Also on the burger front, Simply Gluten Free celebrated with their Portobello burger recipe. Delish also included mushrooms in a few of their recipe galleries, namely one featuring chicken and mushroom recipes, with another focusing on vegetable casseroles.

Bon Appetit shared a Kalbi-Style Steak and Mushrooms Lettuce Wrap recipe, while Clean Eating shared their take on a Portobello burger with gochujang mayo.
