Nation’s Restaurant News recently published, Mushrooms trend as a meat alternative on restaurant menus, and focused on chefs turning to mushrooms as they lean more into plant-forward dishes. The editor notes these chefs prefer mushrooms over meat analogs because they are natural, versatile and delicious. The Mushroom Council’s sustainability data and other data on mushroom production are also noted.

Mushrooms are one of Ree Drummond’s favorite foods. A recent article in The Pioneer Women highlighted 25 of the Best Mushroom Recipes from Drummond and mentions her saying, “I lie awake at night, not contemplating the meaning of life or the fate of the universe, but just how many different ways I can stuff a mushroom cap.”

Green Matters highlighted Our Favorite Tabitha Brown Recipes, for Your Next Vegan Meal which featured mushrooms. The article mentions Brown’s Like Sweet Like Smoky Grilled Portobello “MLT” and Lion’s Mane Mushroom Steaks.
