Mushrooms in the News: 09-15-17

As we head into fall we continue to see an increase in mushroom recipes and other news.

Women’s Health spotlighted several mushroom varieties in a five-page spread titled ‘Earthly Treasures.’ The article included recipes and information on mushrooms’ health benefits, flavor profiles and cooking techniques.

The Washington Post published a portobello mushroom recipe in print and online, which incorporates bold flavors such as rosemary and beer.

On the trade side, Produce News recapped the Blend’s Sturgis debut on its print edition front page.

Lastly, West Hawaii Today covered National Mushroom Month and included recipes such as Mushroom Quiche and Creamy Grilled Portobello Mushroom Soup.
