Mushrooms in the News: 03-10-17

This week, KyForward, Kentucky’s online newspaper, spotlighted The Blended Burger Project and Smithtown Seafood’s entry, the Tapper Burger. “Blending a burger with mushrooms can benefit our health and our food systems,” said chef Jonathan Sanning.

Additionally, FoodService Director named JBF’s Kris Moon one of the top 20 people shaping food service today, noting The Blended Burger Project as one of his and Michelle Santoro’s “most ambitious ideas.”

Finally, Detroit Free Press posed the question “What’s the difference between cremini and white mushrooms?” and cited information from mushroominfo.com to provide additional information about the varieties and cooking tips.
