Description

This popular Korean dish combines flavorful marinade with tender beef, vegetables, and mushrooms. Mushrooms add a mouthwatering umami flavor that pairs deliciously with brown rice. Bring this rice bowl to your seasonal menu and your students will thank you!


Ingredients

  • 10 lb beef stew meat
  • 1 qt water
  • 1 tbsp beef base
  • 5 cups chopped onions
  • 1 1/2 qt Korean pepper sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1.8 gal. long-grain brown rice
  • 6 cups raw mushrooms
  • 2 cups spring or scallion onions
  • 1 3/4 qt. chopped carrots
  • 5 lb shredded cabbage
